Moroccan style vegetable tagine served in a roasted pumpkin. Also served with tofu falafels, tabbouleh, flatbread, tzatziki and Harissa (Manna, Primrose Hill)
Nice selection and lots of lovely veg. Falafels were a bit bland but otherwise this was a comforting, hearty main and a very popular that night from what I saw.

Mediterranean style mezze including home made tabbouleh, houmous, tzatziki, grilled halloumi cheese, home made sweet potato fritters, falafels and wholemeal pitta bread (Home meal) Tabbouleh is vibrant, flavoursome and super easy to construct: a little cooked, cooled bulgar wheat (or sub cous cous/quinoa/other grain) plus chopped tomato, minced red onion, lemon juice, olive oil, seasonings, and LOTS of chopped fresh parsley. Delicious! See previous posts for close ups and recipes of sweet potato fritters and falafels.

Falafels and tabbouleh salad (Home meal) Falafels made from a Hale n Hearty instant mix. These are really tasty and have a great texture but I like to add extra ingredients. This time I added lots of stock cupboard stuff: garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, a pinch of mixed spices, paprika, and lots of omega 3 seed mix for crunch. The instructions suggest you to fry these but I bake them until browned slightly and crusty. Tabbouleh - an easy combination of cooked bulgar wheat, red onion, tomato, chopped fresh parsley, lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper. So fresh and delicious!

Mezze platter inc flatbread, falafels, fried potato cubes, houmous, tabbouleh, fried halloumi cheese, dead sea pickles, a vine leaf dolma, Harissa dip and tahini dip (Shawa, Westfield, Shepherds Bush)
4.5/5 - huge, delicious, fresh and varied. The only downside was the pickles - way too salty, but maybe they are an acquired taste?
